Just before WRC Rally GB started I was invited to a preview of the new upcoming DiRT3. While I was there Ken Block and Kris Meeke set a lap time for us to beat. I got my video camera out to film Kris' attempts

If you like Rally or motoring games in general then this game is amazing, 60% of the game is Rally and they have dropped a lot of the American stuff in DiRT2. The handling and graphics and spot on!

DiRT 2 for me had some of the best physics of a rallying game that has been brought to console thus far, the way you could adjust the line through a bend using the throttle was superb - nice array of cars too. Can't wait until this one is released, even more nice cars, more rally and a little gymkhana fun thrown in hehe

It'll definitely be good, the leap from 1 up to 2 was huge.
Show those morons who made WRC2010 how to make a proper rally game.

Agreed, that WRC game has to be one of the worst ive played on any modern console!

Dirt 3 is looking good though, especially as they are focussing on proper rallying again with other genres added on!

Next year.

The thing is, at the end of the day most Rally fans want a proper game with Group B cars. And it really looks like Dirt 3 will come to the long rescue, with authentic sounds, flames and madness.
I definitely have faith in these guys, unlike a lot of other companies of recent times.

Can attest that Kris Meeke is even handier in a real rally car, first hand. Bloody good driver, that lad.

He's driving the Prodrive MINI WRC next year too, might finally be a WRC season worth watching!

Also liked that the the 1080p video of Chris Meeke played straight off with no buffering.
