Ok ok, I think this is a lost cause and I have paid to get my car back but it really peeved me off so here goes...

Basically we have a shortage of Residents Parking in Islington, so recently the council have put up some unmarked bays, they have been unmarked for about 6 weeks and anyone with or without a permit can park there.

So overnight (or very early in the morning) the signs go up and on the same day my old banger (5 series) gets PCN'ed and towed away to the car pound for not displaying a valid Residents parking permit.

Fair I suppose but my qn is whether the council should put some kind of warning that on a certain date the free parking will change. They currently give around 5 days warning if a residents bay is to be suspended for cable laying/blood transfusion trucks etc so why not this time.

I should know the answer and I will try and check it when I have a moment but it seems unfair and about 5 other cars got clamped or towed away in this manner too...

anyway, it cost me £200 to get my car back, so i guess no more booze cruises, short breaks, or even lunch for the next few weeks.
