Removing wiper motor

Has anyone done it?

Is it easy/hard/fking impossible?

Getting to it is a bit tough but I tried to leave the expansion tank in place while I did it. It'd be considerably easier removing the tank first.

remove the header tank and the mounting braket remove the wiper arms undo the big nut on the motor unplug the wires and 2 ten mm nuts on the motor mounting braket and pull it out should,nt take more than an hour

Slight aside, is the park switch on the motor in the same way as on the Chimaeras?

My wipers have a habit of stopping where the hell they like, changing the park switch on the other car fixed that.

I am sure they are the same motors, as looking around the parts sites they say it does for both.

They are the same...I have a spare one off a cerbera and one off a chimaera....neither of which have been tested...will probably put them into to Adrian Venn to get them refurbed and replace both the one on my cerbera and chimaera...amongst other winter jobs...

You need to remove the three black bungs on the housing to get at the three small bolts on the bulkhead. You do not need to fully remove them to get the housing removed as the housing holes are slotted.
