I need a set of front tyres for my XJR. I was thinking of the Falkens but can only find them in 255 35 18 not 255 40 18.
Has anyone tried the Bridgestone ER33, Ive found two for £100 a corner which seems a good price?

If you're on about FK452, then I'd go for 245/40-18 as a replacement.

I do - I've got a set of ZE912s on my XJ8.

The 912s are the comfort, not performance oreintated Falken tyre. Much smoother and quieter than the usual Pirelli tyres found on older Jaguars but seem to have fairly rapid wear rates. Cheaper than some of the premium brands for sure but I'm not too convinced if the wear rate I've had out of mine so far make them good value

Have a look on Black Circles and Pneues online for reviews. Auto Express recently reviewed tyres and found the Continental ContiSportContact 3 was the best all rounder and the Pirelli P Zero was the best in dry handling and braking.

Thanks guys.

I decided to try the Bridgestone ER33's, at £100 each they are worth a go even though they are summer tyres. Just got to hope for a mild winter...wishful thinking!
