I remember doing daft crap like this as a kid...

Typically involving aerosols, a steel dustbin and a big fire.

Them were the days smile

Tie em with a string soaked in diesel and let them go with the fuse lit, gave you about 20 seconds to vacate the area.

Those were the days as kids , throwing pressurized things on a fire and seeing what happened, opening fireworks and using the detonators as little hand grenades then putting the powder and pellets on said fire to see what noises and colours we could create, using traffic light fireworks as laser guns shooting balls of fire at one another.

What with that and falling out of trees, not wearing cycling helmets and playgrounds that were concrete, makes you wonder how any of us are still here doesn't it smile

And conkers don't forget them, I was babysitting my newphew the other day and we found a sixer at least! kids nowadays wouldn't know what a conker was.

My first thought was 'kids messing about' too.

Infact i am lucky No cops were around when i did the exact smae thing on the shore of Loch Ness about 25 years ago, trying to attract Nessy.

We managed 4 gardens away, using old rags, firelighters and newspaper for the fire, some old bricks to create a stand, and a metal tube slightly bigger in diameter than the Lynx can resting with one end in the fire and the other end pointing skywards. Insert can upside down, and RLF to a safe area as the fire melts the plastic nozzle, ignites the aerosol within and propels the can rather quickly out of the tube smile

The most lethal we discovered was the Camping Gaz Anti Personnel Mine.....filled with the appropriate substance and ignited via a straw filled with the same. The bottom disc blew through both sides of a water cistern and into the earth while the aluminium blue can shattered into fragments that embedded themselves in trees, very nasty.

Pffft, amateurs. Me and a mate almost blew the Dennis Eagle factory* to pieces by igniting a few large barrels of fuel. hehe

  • it was derelict and scheduled for demolition.
