Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for having a carpet fitted in a room that's roughly 3m x 3.8m?

It's a seagrass carpet that needs glueing down apparently, but the underlay and gripper rods are already in place and I've had the carpet delivered.

I'll be ringing a couple of fitters later but just wondered whether they're taking the mick or what they're charging is about right.

Area is South East if that makes a difference.

Yes it will, and you can't just glue it to any old underlay. You'll need duralay system 10 if you don't want a full stick, or durafit underlay if you do.

I know Carpet Right charged £2.50sq/metre in the midlands. I also know it's cheaper to use the same fitters direct.
