I know this is going to be obvious to most here, but for those new to insurance and quotes, be wary...
I got a fully comp quote for my motorcycle off a comparison site for £150 with breakdown cover and legal protection. Called up, spoke with the guy on the phone, very friendly and agreed the £150 quote and that he would take direct debit details for the whole amount to come out at start date.
Got the paperwork through the post - £190!!! Called up, they said it was an "admin fee"... At no time was any admin fee discussed whatsoever when I took out the policy.
Got it cancelled as it as soon as I noticed it, girl on the phone claimed that she may not be able to do it without a cancellation charge! Luckily she pulled her head of her arse and cancelled it...
I hate dishonest companies!
