Forgot to post about this a week or so ago..but better late than never i guess.

Cowboy clampers are causing us no end of grief and this is a particular warning to those who attend their monthly meets in and around the ACE CAFE which is just of the A406,NW10.

Do not park anywhere near the tile shop....its just asking for grief and i do know for a fact that they are 'eagle eyed' especially with all the vehicles parked in and around the meet.

Anyway, has anyone been a victim of these 'Cowboys'? and i call them that because thats exactly what the ones that ive had dealings with are.

Arent all clampers cowboys?

The council ones in Bethnal Green are the biggest bunch of crooks I've ever had to deal with...

Never been a victim of clampers yet, and maybe i never will. Carrying a set of boltcroppers in the car is the easiest way to get them off without damage to the car.

I got caught by some clampers operating in South Bucks - came back 20 minutes later with a 7.5 tonner and blocked their van into a corner with it until they agreed to remove the clamp from the car.

They were patrolling a carpark behind a row of shops and claimed that as I'd used the cashpoint next to the shops before entering the shops that I had no right to use the car park. Shop keepers could do nothing as they were working directly for the landlord.

ive been at meetings at the ace cafe when these arseholes have been around and they totally destroy the atmosphere through being petty feckheads.

the thing that peeves me right off is when they started to clamp the cars there was an announcement and EVERYONE went up to the tile center to 'have a quiet word' with them but guess who turned up to save their scummy arses????.....thats right, the local plod in several vans.

if your having problems with these cnuts then simply wait for about an hour after they call in for assistance, that way they can be dealt with and you can simply pick up the leftovers (esp the mouthy little shit who was giving it the large as soon as the police turned up,up till then he and his pal were shitting it,BIGTIME!)

remember,2nd monday of the month give it an hour,we'll sort it for ya!!

nightmare, the size of some of the blokes who go upto the ace on classic ford night make me feel like a right shortass and im 6ft and not on the small side.

that particular night the clampers waited for a large gathering (when the road outside gets chocca) and then waited for the tile center carpark to fill up,when the carpark was packed they pulled over from the esso garage on the other side of the park royal bridge and struck.....within a minute of their arrival there was a wall of pished-off blokes surrounding these clampers explaining their cars were blocked in but they would remove them a.s.a.p,the clampers wouldnt listen but as soon as the situation was relayed upto the ace nearly everyone had left the ace's carpark and walked up to the tile center VERY pished off...even those who werent parked in there as they had killed the whole atmosphere, upto that point it had been peaceful and a good laugh.

anyway, faced with the fuming crowd surrounding them the clampers (in their wisdom )were going to let the cars go but then the bib turned up and the clampers started to get very lairy....if the police werent there and the gobshites had said anything like what they did then the authorities would have probably found the tw@ strung up on a lampost on the a406 with a ford car jack crammed up each of their ass's.

in the end the nobjockeys clamped 3 cars and the police alienated another section of the public because they protected these turds.

after the scumbag clampers had been told to go away (in so many words) everyone went back to the ace but the whole thing was just finished for the night because of all the bad will that these tw@ had bought and as such, alot of people just left within 15 minutes.the only things that cheered us remaining guys up was the mk1 v8 cortina going full pelt up and down the road (the noise! )and the mk1 rs2000 doing doughnuts round the mini roundabout.

Wish I'd read this earlier. I got towed away from there on Wednesday night and they wouldn't release the car until the next day. Plod were no help at all. Cost a fortune and I was on my own and only 5'7 and 11 stone!! Feel like I've been mugged except I wouldn't have had anywhere near that amount of cash on me. These sc**bags need stopping. Does anyone know the name of the tile shop? I forgot to make a note of it.

its 'the tile center' iirc.

i thought an agreement between the tile place and the ace cafe had been reached a few months ago regarding parking in the evenings though,it might be worth calling the tile center and the ace cafe enquiring about it mate........pitty there wernt many more cars in there at the time or they would have been 'advised' to unclamp them all before they 'fell over a few times into a nearby wall' or 'taken to stonebridge park to meet the local residents'

Of course, if someone took along a powerful transmitter on an appropriate frequency, the clampers' mobile phones wouldn't work.

I thought an agreement had been reached too that parking was ok after 8pm. I got there about 8:40pm.

I wish there had been more cars around too. Mine had already gone by the time I returned. I would love to see them "fall over" into nearby walls a few times. It would be very entertaining to watch.
