What colour should brake fluid be? I had a look at mine today and it was orange.

If it needs replacing, any idea on how much a garage will charge to do this?

Brake fluid is usually a yellow/pale green colour. To get it changed your looking at roughly half an hour to an hour labour and a few quid for the fluid.

Almost clear usually, slight amber tint.

Cheers, any idea how much fluid is needed for a complete change?

Not much. It typically comes in 500ml bottles. 1 litre should do the job.
