usSaw this phrase sued about a flat within a block currently for sale.

Does it mean that you can't end their rental and ask them to leave?

Can't be many of these left, but as advised, leave well alone.

Probably why the price has droped. It was a block of 6 flats which the council had serv3d enfircemnet on for electricakl wiring. Then I see 2 are protected tenants.

My mother in law is a protected tenant, she has lived in the house about 40 years, every year the landlord tries to put the rent up by about £20 pwk, every year she appeals and the rent gets increased by about £1. He has been kind enough to offer her £500 to move out but she refused his offer.
