And it's a bit awkward.... It has to come from Ernest Jones, Leslie Davies or H Samuel(!) had a burglary and they took various items so going to combine all into one watch, the payout is in the form of vouchers for the above stores.

Worth waiting for the january sales?

Pretty open to suggestions really.

EJ stock Bell & Ross don't they? (although I can't see them on the website though)

Can't see an omega coming into price even in the sales?

No suggestion as to what watch you go for but from an insurance point of view they cant force you to go through thier perfered supplier, if you push them they will let you shop in any jeweller of your choice.

Might open up the options for you.

My parent's where in a similar situation the insurers offered £x for cash or £x+y for jeweller's shop vouchers. I suspect it is in the same way Tesco has been offering Goldsmith vouchers, the vouchers are being bought for less than face value.

Yes, generally. I run a jewellers and have customers all the time who are offerd vouchers from EJ/Signet group, who would rather replace with us, generally a case of if you moan / complain enough they will give in and accecpt a lesser discount from another jeweller. There are some exceptions but generally you have the choice of where to replace. If you need any help then PM me

Well the insurance company aren't willing to let me spend at other places..... what was taken can be replaced at the locations they have given me vouchers for.

Which is fair enough I suppose.

So - 800 quid. What do I buy?

Or do I just put it towards something a little more special? Speedmaster / Seamaster? Ernest Jones do 0%......

Sounds like a good idea if Ernest Jones will allow you to fund the balance on 0%.

check the small print as Tesco vouchers (another thread in here) weren't allowed on "finance" deals 0% or otherwise.
