Ooh - I wanna touch you up!

I've got quite a few small stone chips on the front of my Tuscan, and would like to get rid of them, or at least make them less noticable.

Can anyone recommend the best way to do it? Would a simple black touch up paint stick from Halfords do the trick, or is there anything else out there that would be better?

The car is Moonraker black.

Touch up stick should be fine if used sparingly and carefully.

It bloody annoys me the stone chip thing.

If there was an oppurtunity to do so adding food colouring to the primer would cure a lot of the issue.

The other alternative I suppose is to go for a light car...

My griff has a little of the paint added to the primer so that stones chips wont show as much.

Edited: on a more useful note HellFrauds sell a good little touch up kit with a fibre glass pen for sanding and making the touch up better.

The chips are on the parts of the car which aren't covered in Armourfend. I think I flew through a small meteor shower, as I've even got lots of small chips on the windscreen!

Ed, I was always advised to use a cocktail stick (sharp wooden thing like a toothpick) and build up gradually until you are flush with the edge of the hole.

I am pretty sure that the above advice was for stonechips.........

Dusty, If you push straight in with little or no finesse it will lead to overspill and unsightly smearing.......
