3D intrigues me having had a view of the 50VT20 in John Lewis the other week. But the Sales Person suggested I wait for the next generation not that he could explain why but it does make sense given that it is still in its relative infancy so a few bugs may get ironed out such as perceived flickering and improved glasses etc. Oh and he also mentioned something about 4D !!! WTF?

Oh and yes I am a Panny plasma fanboy of sorts so please dont talk to me about Sammys, LCD, LED etc wink!

So should I stick or bust? One for Plotters?

The new 4D TVs will let you watch things that haven't even been made yet.

The VT20/25s are lovely sets; probably the only ones worth considering at the moment.

That being said, the next generation of sets look like they are moving towards polarised displays with passive glasses, as opposed to the active glasses current sets use. This makes the glasses much much cheaper and lighter (exactly the same as those used in cinemas)so if you are serious about watching 3D content, this would be the way to go.,

Makes sense, then 1 set of glasses will do all manufacturers using the technology.
