One box AV system - with DVD recorder?

I'm looking at one box AV systems (5.1), but ideally with a DVD recorder - as I currently have.
I don't watch many films, so I'm not bothered about Blu-ray, but in the assumption there are free HDMI ports, I could add one at a later date.
Trouble is... I can't seem to find any! Do one box systems with DVD recorders still exist? Am I facing the prospect of buying an AV receiver and separate DVD recorder?
The current system is a pain to operate, so we're looking for something simple, small and with acceptable sound quality.
Any ideas?

It doesn't have 5.1 with it.Our current system is a 5.1 surround unit, with DVD recorder. Surprised no one has done an updated jobbie with HDMIs...
