Hi there smile

I've been searching for a decent set of front tyres for my clio 172, cause just now it's fitted with Chinas' worst (I bought it that way) which results in me having no confidence in the cars' ability, which is substantial. I've heard that the rainsport 2's are great but does anyone have other suggestions, from experience. I live in Scotland so good wet weather performance is preferred, I'll take anything other than what I've got however frown

I assume it's a phase two 172 with 205/45/16 fitment? Michelin Pilot Exalto 2s are quite popular I believe, at least with 182 Trophy owners, but they're all the same thing really. I'll be fitting Toyo R1Rs come spring and they're in stock, although they don't sound much good for the type of use you're after!

It's actually a phase 1 172 I have pilot sport 2s on the back, the fitment is 195 50 15, I wasn't sure whether just to fit the same on the front or to go with tyrereviews.co.uk which is suggesting the Uniroyals. However I thought that I should consult here first cause I'd be more likely to find people who drive their cars similary to myselfand get a better idea of how certain tyres perform in particular situations.

I was getting these for 26 quid last year, bought new tyres recently and I ended up paying 50 each inc fitting for some other toyo's.

I am sure camskill were 36/38 for the T1'rs last month.
