Received my SORN Acknowledgement letter yesterday did not think it necessary to threaten me with a £5000 pound fine and even sending me to prison if I left my car on the road.

Is it me or are official letters becoming more aggressive and unpleasant and taking the position we are all knuckle draggers. The letters that take this stance come from all Goverment departments these days from Tax to DVLA.

Hmmm yes. A bit like the TV licence people. I didn't have a television last year but they thought it necessary to send me multiple letters threatening me, they then called me and threatened me again with court action. I shouldn't be obliged to tell them if I don't have a TV. I don't usually get annoyed with people on the phone because they are just doing a job, but this woman was an utter witch so I let her have it. They treat everyone like criminals, totally out of order.
