Hi all,

So as title says, getting rid of the 100HP (for sale in classifieds for 5k if you're interested) but not sure what to get instead. I was originally selling it to get a bike as I now live in London, but with my job I'll be moving in Feb so may get a new car as opposed to a bike.

I've looked at things such as Corsa VXRs and Clio 197s but with insurance at 1.8k for a 10k car it's just too much. I want something preferably not too old, but just not sure what I can actually afford. Can probably push to 11k including insurance.

Want something fun, quite quick, practicality isn't really an issue so all suggestions welcome! Best I'm come up with is an MX-5 (surprise surprise).

Insurance 1800 quid?? Are you moving to East Belfast??

I can say, hand on heart, not trying to justify a purchase, that the Panda is more fun to drive than my old 197. Sure, it's faster but it is too good, too accomplished for getting your kicks on public roads. If you want a bike, get a bike... but I'd wait til spring, November might be a funny time to take up full-time biking!

Haha, check out my post on this topic in the Fiat Forum. I plan to try a Renaultsport Twingo for size (I want to keep the diddy car factor).

Just considering all the options smile I doubt I'll be getting one though.

Focus ST
Mini Cooper S
Golf R32

I've had some surprisingly respectable insurance quotes for those.

Suzuki Swift sport would be first choice with the given criteria. Or even a Fiat 500 Arbarth (sp)
