Legacy GTB single turbo conversion!

Right then after a disappointing rolling road session yesterday (257bhp) i've decided to ditch the twin turbo setup. Its a pita and simply too fragile.

So i've decided to go for a single turbo setup with either an STi V3/4 ecu or if i can afford it a simtec.

I'm thinking of going for the TD06. It might be slight overkill but i can honestly justify why i need one...lol

Now can anyone share any information on what it's like living with a TD06? The car is not a daily driver but i would be interested to know how said turbo behaves? ie boost, reliability, performance, torque etc...

Your limited by the chocolate internals, so just stick a VF34 or 35 on there and be done with it.

A Tdo6 is a big laggy beast of a turbo and not suited to Subaru's at all

Worth having a look round on clubsub.org.nz forums as well, single conversions are pretty common for people wanting to up the power significantly.

Thats where i got the inspiration from. I was awake till silly o clock last night doing research

If you really want inspiration, my mechanic has a GTB practically identical to mine, but with a forged 2.5 poking around the 700bhp mark.

That has to be a single tubby.

One day i'm going to make a trip down that side of the world just to see what you lot get upto. I've seen some of the pictures and they are mouth watering...lol
