That was my old man driving the 599 and he changed up from 2nd to 4th off the line.
No matter how many time I show him he cant get on with the F1 gearbox!

Simply pull the up paddle twice in quick succession.
Unfortunately due to his age and lack of any kind of simple technical understanding he also gets confused which paddle is up and which is down when it comes to corners and stopping!

Its the only time he drove the 599 as he prefers the CLK DTM because it has a proper auto box and suits his style!
