hi i am sure there is an easy fix, when i start my 1998 p38 dse from cold providing i let the glow plug light go out it starts straight away , but after a short distance when you switch off and go to restart the glow plug light doesnt light up and won't start , i would think a temp sender .. but where . thanks for any help. Jeremy

Perhaps only a little bit of help, but I saw something like this advertised on E-bay. Apparently there is a problem with a sensor or something in the ECU, which thinks the engine is cold and therefore over fuels it. You can but a by-pass relay which overcomes this problem by over-riding this circuit for a few seconds upon hot starts.
