Need a custom exhaust place!

Hi, I live near Hindhead and need a custom exhaust place to remove a silencer from my 540's exhaust.

Anyone know a decent place locally? Looking to have it done this week but don't want the system ruined by powerflow type places as its expensive to replace and no after market alternatives available!

Any ideas?

They would probably laugh at what I need doing! Nice systems though.

Id have a system done but I want to keep the standard tailpipe so no point really!

Remote key fob Cut out Valves would be the best shout, so you can keep the "sneeking home at 3 in the morning" noise level and Also have an ear splitting roar (when neccesary )

Can you get remote fob ones then? I've seen the wired ones but they are £160ish from the US with the bit of pipe included plus the labour to fit.

Yes you can get Remote key fob controlled cut out valves I beleive 'chevy-stu' has the remote cut outs on Camaro

Its a bit of a trek, but i had my car done by Hayward & Scott. The local guys were not keen on custom fabrication. Also the guy at simpson race exhausts was not keen on doing custom exhausts for road cars now for some reason.

If you're thinking about the noise control system, I'm getting one put on my VX by Backdraft Motorsport. They're based in Milton Keynes so it's a bit of a travel, but they're pretty competent and can give good discounts.

I've got 2 electric cutouts on mine, from a company called 'Badlanz' in America...
I have one each side, as it's true dual system for each bank of the V, that are positioned just under where the front seats are. They are operated by a rocker switch I had to fit under the dash, you can get remote key fob ones too, I think Swerni has a Badlanz remote one on his Mustang.. Comes as a complete kit with Y pipe in diameter required, wiring and switch.

I bought mine direct and had it fitted by Longlife in Carshalton, when they made the whole new stainless system up..

Does the floorpan get a bit hot?

Id have to have it next to the backbox really which is quite close to the bumper/fuel tank

I'm still wanting to just get one of the rear boxes removed for now, the one which has only one inlet/outlet. Its not a straight through box.

Floor doesn't get hot at all, am planning on getting some downturn outlets fitted, just to leave less black exhaust soot on the underside...

You might find if you wanted to fit one, you'll have to fit it wherever you have space..

Simpsons did the exhausts for my kit car and they did a first class job. I'd highly recommend them. They're likely to be expensive though.
