Griff with 140K on the clock

Just seen it again at the local TVR garage (no - not for a rebuild!)
'J' reg - 4L - still looking fine - regular commuter hence high mileage!!

Sure it would still be close to 10K even with that mileage. Just glad to see these high mileage examples arounf - must be a record!!

FWIW:

My old 350i had done about 120,000. Had been well maintained and was as strong as an ox and dead reliable.

No reason why it shouldn't be an OK purchase if the price is right.

Damn - I thought mine was doing well, got a little way to go to beat that though!

Not a lot of reasons why a Griff shouldn't manage a high mileage though is there? And I bet that one's a far better example than something that's only done 2,500 miles in the last ten years!

As long as the chassis and wiring is sound then this is as good as any. When bits wear out they get replaced so you're probably buying a more exciting version of Triggers brush....
