2.0 Zetec Short Stroke Crank down to 1600cc
Discussion
Anyone ever put a short stroke crank in a 2.0 Zetec block with long rods to make an oversquare 1600cc race engine?
Looking to build a replacement for my venerable CVH engine. Would like to stay in class, so upto 1700cc.
Before anyone mentions it I looked at the Sigma, but would require more work to swap around.
Alternatively I could just work with the 2000cc and move up 4 classes!

Ish... There is a chap on the Westfield Sport Car Club forum who de-stroked a 2000 to 1700 for reasons that escape me, the resultant engine was so powerful, it was turbo charger with lots of WRC technology, that he decided against putting it in the Westfield and was last seen building a 2.3 ltr nat asp Volvo 5 cylinder screamer using a mix of 2.0 and 2.5 parts.
He goes by the name of RS WST.
