Bought this last weekend for just over a grand:

V70 2.4 Auto 1999.

120k on the clock.

Had a few issues.

Drivers window didn't work, scraped the contacts on the switch, job done
Pre cat o2 sensor heater failed, £140 for the part and 10 mins job done, light is now out and no other faults logged.
Front fog lights didn't work, £10 for a pair of bulbs
Rear wash didn't work, hose had popped apart.
Cable interlock was stiff between the box and the ignition meaning the key was a pain to get out. Silicon spray, job done.

Got lots of history, 300 miles since last mot where it had new cat, new tyres and new drop rods.
Got about the last 6 mots, and it's done around 2k a year, service and mot annually.

Bereavement job.

Had it on the ramp to change the sensor, looks pretty good, although the discs will need changing before too long.

Heated seats are great at this time of year.

£10 for a pair of fog light bulbs . . . you've not quite got the bangernomics thing straight in your head have you wink

Nice car, they go on for ever and are very comfortable and quiet. Nice smile

Nice. How's it on the fuel?

You won't need new discs. You will need some wet and dry paper and a bucket of water.

Also foggies are an extravagance! Mine have been knackered for nearly a year and a half on my banger!

nice cloud9

I'd rather drive that than this POS insignia I'm using at the moment
