Unusually for me I have booked a winter trackday. My main problem might be that the car does not have a heater.
Anyone else going and what car you got? Im in an MGB (dont laugh).

There are about 15 of us from another forum going, predominately 911's with a couple of Golfs and an R8 thrown in for good measure.

Feel free to wonder over and have a chat as we watch the snow falling

I will join in the cold/no-heater pain in a Radical.
We may have to wear a ski suit...

Gav, there is another Silverstone Arena day on the 1st December with RMA, same price I think.
we're going along to that one for a winter blast. Should be fun, not quite I sure I am loving the Arena circuit yet but I guess its just because I'm old and loved the Bridge circuit so much. More laps required perhaps!

I think I am going to need my heater, it's freezing cold at the moment. You can keep your radicals at this time of year, I don't care how fast they are, I can't imagine how cold it will be in one of those. Yikes !!!!

I'm doing my first Silverstone day on the 1st (if a part arrives from the States in time) with no heater, wide rear tyres, low(ish) weight and lots of torque so I am praying for a reasonable day weather wise.

I suspect I will be spending a fair amount of time in the cafe warming up!!

How did it go today? What was the track like and what time did you get allowed out onto the track.

The weather is supposed to be getting worse next week so the 1st looks doubtful to me.

Silverstone was cancelled today. There was a fair bit of ice that wouldn't melt, so there was no other option.

If it's going to be sub zero all week then very unlikely the days will go ahead. Donington was cancelled today and I'm due there on 3rd Dec but again the forecast is more snow and sub zero - so very little chance of it happening

Plenty of days ran last winter in sub-zero, I wouldn't write it off yet.

UPDATE :

EASYTRACK INFORMATION: Currently none of our events are effected by weather. If you are booked into one that for which that status changes, we will contact you. At this stage we do not think the current snow in parts of the UK will effect forthcoming track days.
