Evening all

Just a qucikie.
Do you guys remove your batteries from you kit car over the winter period, or connect up a trickle charger?

Just been thinking about this tonight. Hopefully I will collect the car from Mac#1 once i get home.

Any advice would be great

Accumate - on a lot of cars, just plug it into the lighter socket.

I leave mine connected and just use a battery conditioner (not a trickle charger).

A while back I did a test for CKC and although the CTEK was the most versatile the Accumate is fine too. Machine Mart do an automatic charger too (the AC70).

At the moment I am using these on both my bikes.

They are quite an old design but still work perfectly and are now dirt cheap.

If you do want to use in car power socket make sure it is live with the ignition off. Some aren't.

I leave mine connected with an Optimate battery conditioner (on a motorbike battery).

Oh and I've got a ctek charger. Also have an optimate but heard they aren't the best from a few people hence buying the ctek. Don't need them just yet, only thing that's gonna stop me using it is snow.

Basically, yes. Then tell him to man up too. And then complain that he's driving. And too slowly...

Roll on next summer....

Used an Optimate on a Sylva Striker for 6 or 7 years --great piece of kit.

You're supposed to bring it out again in spring not leave it there for 7 years.
