We have just been to the LA Auto show and seen the Evoque. I must say it looks good in the flesh!

Much the same size as a Freelander. I think if you were happy with the size of a FL the Evoque would be fine. It is a car that looks much better in the flesh than in photos.

It's going to be branded as a Range Rover, looks really cool and will be priced below the LR4, should start around upper LR2 (Freelander) prices but will be more luxurious and should appeal to younger buyers. There will be a 3 door coupe as well. As someone who sells LR's I'm looking forward to getting it next autumn. biggrin

Any idea how the 5-door Evoque will compare to the Audi Q5 in terms of size and price??

The vehicle is slightly shorter than the freelander 2, it has 2.2 diesel 150 and 190 bhp engine and the turbo petrol 2 litre. It is a full range rover inside, with all the latest technology. In fact when you sit in the car it makes the other vehicles in the range seem very very dated.

The 5dr is 150 mm lower than the Range Rover Sport, with the 3 door being 180 mm lower than a Sport. And they are both circa 400 mm shorter.

Overall the car is 12 mm longer than current model Ford Focus

Price is starting at circa £33k for 150 2wd and goes upto around £50k for fully spec'd petrol 4wd

And in the flesh it is stunning, looks just like the LRX did. Very attractive car.

hope this helps

Sounds very comparable then!

Thanks.

I'll pop to my local dealer to get some more information.

Cheers

We've been told that the prices will start at $45k. RR Sport HSE here is $60k, most cars are LUX and $66-69k.
