Probably a little bit of a pipe dream at the moment, but would love to rent a lockup so that I can store various cars I have or want to buy.

All it would need would be power, the ability to store 4-5 cars and my tools, and to be secure.

Where would be the best place to look for these? I have looked at rightmove but the only thing vaguely suitable is more of a commercial unit. I have no idea if I would even be allowed to use something like this for my needs. There is no commercial reason behind my ideas, just want somewhere to safely store and tinker on the cars at the weekends.

So I open it all up to you guys and girls - thanks

I'd think an industrial unit will be your best bet, although you'll probably need to factor business rates into the costs. Unless you know a friendly farmer with a barn going spare.

Local rags for this, all day long. Loot, Free Ads, that kinda thing. If you look on the professional property websites, all you'll find is stuff priced to the max. You wanna try to find someone local with a garage to rent who's advertised in the local papers.

Good luck!

Parklet.co.uk seems to have quite a good selection over the country.

My mum has a property management company that rents out her half dozen lockups for her. Advertised in local paper.

Have you tried local farmers?

May have a closed barn with power?
