Quiet village........young lad murdered.
Discussion
Crikey.
On the face of it, we live in a quiet village- good local pub, decent enough folk, all you would expect from the traditional villiage I guess.
On Friday, there was-by all accounts- an incident outside the school, about 400 yards from our house.
It would seem- although very much speculation from various folks who live here- that one of the sixth formers owed some money to a local drug dealer. It appears that the dealer hit him round the head with a golf club, then stabbed him repeatedly. They turned the life support machine off yesterday.
16 years old, and-again speculation- but it appears he was murdered for 'an amount less than £50'.
They have 4 people in custody, But Jesus, it's a shocker.

Drugs are bad, the people who deal/dabble in drugs are bad, and getting involved is bad.
Also ignoring your debt to an undesirable is very bad.
FFS, surely he could have found £50 from somewhere!
Very Very Tragic, hope the scum rots in jail, and that other youngsters learn from this young chaps mistakes!!!

Not that easy to find some spare cash when you're only 16 imho.Mate got his arm carved up by some undesireables using a screwdriver, nicked him in the neck too- could have ended up much worse. But (mate) knew who he was dealing with.
Sad nonetheless.

I just don't understand the mentality of some people.
Surely one gets into the drug business, (as a seller), to earn money? So why kill someone and end that career over the sake of £50? Give them a bit of a slap, yes, kill them? Senseless.
Drug dealers are thick, you don't need intelligence to make money from selling drugs! Prohibition, putting vast sums of cash in the hands of those too thick to appreciate it.Surely one gets into the drug business, (as a seller), to earn money? Not all of them, and you need intelligence, and luck, to consistently make money and not get caught.Reads to me as a no-mark trying to get a 'hardman' name who didn't think that it would kill the defaulter, just 'f
k him up a bit', and send a message out for his future career. Now, with any luck, he's about to get re-bored. That said he'll have a free course on how to be a better criminal for the next few years.

Book out last year, and the author concluded that the gang member dealing drugs would earn significantly more money if he got a job at MacDonald's.
Looks like they must have wanted to rough him up but went too far. Sad for the lads family.
I've been living in Holland for a few months now and it's quite a nice way of dealing with the issue. People wanting to go and smoke a joint don't have to go and hang out with undesirables to get them to start off with.
It is apparent that there may well be an increase in the number of vagrants on harder stuff though

Vast majority of drug dealers earning less than minimum wage, pull the other one, it's got bells on. I've known dozens of drug dealers over the years (properly, not just as a customer) and only one wasn't making a fortune. s
t I know of people who could strip their legitimate earnings in their lunch hour every single day. They weren't on minimum wage either.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
