Anyone know anything about the closure of Shell, Ringwood?

Hello,

The Shell fuel station at Saint Leonards, Ringwood, Hampshire is set to close on the 6th December, rather out of the blue. The garage staff say BP are planning to take it over and possibly Marks and Spencer to turn it into a larger service station.

Does anyone know about the proposed development of this site? Anyone involved in it at all or have any contacts we could speak to please?

Sounds quite likely. If you think going South West from there, the next 'services' is at Exeter (except a couple of Little Chefs and the Mcdonalds at Dorchester).

Yeah, just wondered if anyone had any insider information for what's going to happen to the site seeing as we have a property nearby! Checked the planning applications online and nothing has been submitted so I assume BP are waiting until they have ownership before submitting anything.
