I'm going to view a car tomorrow with the object of buying if it turns out to be what we're after, from reading the advert and speaking to the chap everything checks out and sounds good. The price is correct for the age and mileage and the chap seems genuine enough. The only thing I'm concerned about is that he bought the car 3 months ago (when the last service was completed as it happens) and the reason he is selling is that he is now returning home to Eastern Europe. It maybe completely wrong on my part to have these reservations simply because the guy isn't from the UK but due to all the horror stories I'm a bit more cautious than I would be if the vendor were British.

Is there anything extra you guys would check or any other paperwork etc I need to read carefully? Its an English car that he bough from Cambridge and is selling before he leaves so I presume all the paperwork will be standard British documentation (V5 etc...)

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I was just reading about that on the DVLA website, my notepad of pointers to check seems to be getting bigger by the minute!
