MX5 more power?

My MX5 is a late 1.6i Monaco, as it was a impulse purchase and I did not look into models and most importantly power outputs. Since then I found out that is about 90hp rather then 115hp like the earlier ones. Is there a easy way of getting mine up to the output of the early ones? Also will a LSD from an eunos fit straight on?

In a word, no I'm afraid. Not simple at all. You'd be better off flogging and buying another.

Probably the simplest and easiest thing to do is sell the car and get a "high power" 1.6 or if you want the torsen LSD get a Eunos 1.8. That way you'd have a standard car that'll be cheaper to insure than modifying a 1.6.

However if you must I'm sure some of the turbo kits could fit. And if you take a 1.8 LSD you'll need the drive shafts as well.
