Just been reading pratical classics and there is a wedge innate auction news which used to be a guy called andy's
E reg 390 (think he was called andy390) which sold for £2800!!! It was (unsurprisingly) bargain of the month!!

I went to see this about 18 months ago - it was up for sale at a local classic car dealer. The pic in practical classics was taken at his place so i assume it was he who put it through auction. If I remember rightly he wanted about £6k for it but was open to offers even back then. Although it was low miles there were issues that put me off - needed a full respray as was covered in micro-blisters, oil leak from back of engine/gearbox, interior wasn't great, headlights didn't work etc.

I went to see this car at the auction and it was NOT bargain of the month. It needed a full respray and lots of repairs including accident damage, the interior was in a sorry state and smelt very damp, the roof needed replacing, the wheels needed refubing and all this without even considering anything mechanical

It looked good in the photos in the auction catalogue but in reality it was horrible
