Guys the MX5 I bought last week has non matching rubber on the back axle so i am either going to put 4 new boots on it or at least 2 new ones on the back depending on finances at the end of the week. So my question to you is what tyres are you running and or what you recommend.

TIA

There's a tyre column in the wiki which should give an indication of popular tyres. smile

i had cf1's on my 14's. i think they are probably a bit better suited to normal passenger type cars but they are fair tyres, not a disaster and better than the pirelli p6000's i had on before.

in that size, i'd look at dunlop sp sport fast response (i really wanted to try these but got a great deal on michelin pilot exalto 2), or uniroyal rain expert, or continental premium contact 2 / michelin PE2 if funds allow.

You could try T1-R's in 195/55-14. Bit spendy compared to 15" though.

I really rate Falkens as a very decent all round tyre for very little cash. 185/60 x 14s are for sale at Camskill at £29.00 incl VAT: http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m4b0s3... They're reasonably grippy and progressive with no nasty surprises.

This is what i have too, they're quite good but not as good as the b'stone potenza's i had on before, they really were excellent even in the winter.
