Really pleased with them, just need to
- do a few miles now to get them in the perfect position
- clean the dash cos it looks really grimy now the seats are in
- put the old ones in the classifieds

Very nice Longers, do you find them more comfortable ? I put Chim seats in a while ago and it transformed the driving position.

Hi Steve

Only been round the block in them so far (2 miles) so still trying to find the perfect position! Because of the extra padding (which helps makes them more comfortable) I feel I'm sitting a tiny bit higher and further forward. Not a problem for you but I'm a slightly taller... Am confident I'll find the perfect setting after some more miles though

On the front of the seat runner was a metal block which I removed before fitment. It lowered the leading edge of the seat and made it more comfy for me. You`re right about my lack of height which makes it easier, but I`m sure a few more miles are required for you for testing purposes I like the curvature on the front corners of the seats too, it matches the centre consol nicely.

Han, I will be censored for thread hi-jack for this but just for you the new stead is not actually that new, it is a 2004 Yam R1 in red, with only one owner from new and 9,000 miles so it really is mint condition. However, I am a Suzuki man really and the GSXR1000 equivalent of the S1000RR is not due out until 2012 so I have decided to get a decent bike to get me back on the road and start saving my pennies for the all singing all dancing 2012 Gixer
