... sort of ...

Hi guys,

USed the wahing machine last night, took cloths out, turned off and left door ajar. Just been into the kitchen to find floor covered in water and on investigation, the machine drum was full of water ??? So somehow, it's filled up with the machine off and then leaked out.

Turn onto drain to empty, and will turn off the isolater tonight, any ideas though ???

Was working fine yesterday, and it drained the water out no problem, so not 'blocked' as such. I presume just a leak on the inlet valve ? (which if I recall is meant to be leakproof on this particular machine (Bosch)).

Cheers in advance,

Martin

Sounds like it. Clean water, yes? There may be nothing more wrong than a bit of grit or scale stuck in it, so it may clear itself after a couple of fill-ups. There's no such thing as "leakproof" smile

Yep at worse it sounds like a buggered intake valve which is a fairly straight forward
diy fix if you source the correct one for your machine.

As said it may be just a bit of scale or other crap out of the main trapped in the
valve seal put the machine through a few more cycles and keep an eye on it for a while.

Very kind offer, FranKinFezza - I'll let you know if I need help.

Fortunatley I had a big bad a microfibre towels on the floor, and they soaked up a hugh amount of water so it wasn't too bad, fortunate I went into the kitchen when I did though ... Waters off to the machine at the moment, will turn it on later and keep an eye on it. I'll work out the model of the machine and might well loko to replace the valve - peice of mind for the price of the valuve /fitting is probably a good investment.

Cheers all ....
