Can anyone recommend any decent hotels in the Le Mans area?

I fancy stopping in a bit of luxury in 2011 smile

Thanks

Simon

f you mean for a holiday then there are quite a few but if you mean for the 24 hour race then you are about 10 years too late......they are booked.

Yes, all the ticket agencies snap up anything reasonably near years in advance, which is why my son and I are always in a hotel 85 miles north and we sleep in the car on Saturday night!

You can get hotels in Le Mans as part of a tour package. Page & Moy don't go there any more but I can recommend Onsite Events. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Page & Moy do still go to Le Mans, at least according to their brochure I received in the mail yesterday, and also their website, with hotel accomodation as an option. Not that I would use them, although I did for my first trip in '96.

My o/h has been posting on these forums for a couple of years now. I have had to sort out my own user profile in order to post this as I have, up to now at least, managed to book in secret a hotel on the circuit for 2012, the year the hubby turns 40 smile. I booked the Hotel Arbor - Auberge de Mulsanne, www.auberge-mulsanne.fr, for the 2012 Le Mans weekend. When I made the booking in May this year, they still had availability for 2011. It is very expensive though....
