front spring rates

Just finished remodelling the front lower wishbone on the 400, making it a lot stronger than before to take the coilovers. It had Nitron coilovers on but these are too long now. To fit in with a 50mm(ish) tyre to wing gap they were almost on full compression, so I have just bought and fitted 2 11x8 AVO adjustables.
I have now just renewed all bushes, ball joints top and bottom and new front coilovers.
My problem is the spring poundage. Don't know what strength I had fitted but I do know they need to be stronger. So does anyone know what poundage springs will give a compliant ride for road use only. I have this thought of someone saying 300-350lb are about right.
