(I tried searching for a thread but PH search is unfathomable to me, never seems to work.)

I'm so very glad I use a game hire service to try out new games before buying.
This has to be one of the worst looking and sounding games in the past few years. And to charge people to use the cars most player want to drive (group b) is ridiculous.
I don't know how the deal worked between blackbean and WRC, but they must be pretty peeved.
It's like an internal-pre production demo, or a good xbox/ps2 game.

Do you think it's just because they are an Italian company that they took 6 months off in the summer biggrin

I thought exactly the same when I played the demo. Crap would be the perfect word to descride it. I got so excited when I spotted the demo, had been thinking just that week it was about time there was a proper rallying game for xbox, needless to say I wont be buying the full game.

It's a real shame though, because as you said, we (x360) don't have a more recent 'proper' rally game.
Dirt 3 is due to set that straight, so just a little longer to wait.

I have to say, it did handle quite well, easy to slide and control.

My review of it on another site..

rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish rubbish, rubbish!!

Because...

The co-drivers are massively unrealistic!
The graphics are PS2 like.
The handling is slow and dosnt really do what you want.
The menu controls are slow to respond as well.
Sound is rubbish and nothing like a real rally car, have they not watched any WRC?
Stages are too wide, samey and with no proper hairpins.
The snow banks are solid in sweden with no give and it sounds like a door shutting when you hit them.

It's still better than both dirt games.

I got a free copy of it and agree that the graphics, menus and general presentation is pretty shoddy.
However, having had nothing else to play at the time I stuck with it and have to say I enjoyed the actual driving, even if the levels are pretty repetitive.
I've not touched it since I got F1 2010, but once I got over the looks it was entertaining for a few days.

Rallying is my favourite form of motorsport, in fact I will be at one on saturday so I was quite excited to download the trial from xbox live. I cant remember the last time I was so disappointed in a game the handling was worse than nfs shift (my new all time worst driving game) the engine sounds were crap the whole thing is the biggest steaming turd I have ever seen. By comparison dirt2 is the best game ever (and that wasnt that good compared with dirt)

I'll have to have a go then, heard terrible things about WRC mind you but them games have always had a narrow audience

Ive just bought it for £15 off amazon and yes, ok the sounds are poor and graphics are below par but it plays quite well. Im only in the front wheel drive class and the moment and you can get some nice lift off oversteer and use the throttle to tighten your line.

Some of the stages are very technical and you really have to listen to the pace notes.
