My wife has really bad Chilblains on her hands and feet. She is always cold.

I have tried buying her gloves and thick socks, but nothing seems to help.

Any advice or ideas on how to treat or ease the pain?

No cure unfortunately.

All you can do is try and keep warm and avoid sudden large changes in temp.

IIRC some GP's try folk on nifedepine as it opens the small blood vessels.

Some people have it all their life and just have to live with it I'm afraid.

I used to get them every winter as a child. I used a weird green thing called snowfire which helped. One winter I used it before I had a chillblain and *touch wood* I've never had one since (although that could be coincidental!)

I used to get them as a child, horrible things. I used a cream to soothe them that worked really well but I forget what it was called. As this was thirty odd years ago I guess the pharmacies have now got improved products.
