water loss

Hi.Ive got a 1999 318(e46).the problem is Im losing water at the rate of about a litre a month.Ive used radweld but it still continues to lose water.The thing is I cant find any leaks and there is never any water on my drive or on the inside of the under tray.Any ideas?

Check the inlet housing which is sometimes at the back of the engine and very difficult to see. You may need a fluorescent die and run the car around for a while to find the evidence of the source of the leak.

If it is the inlet housing (I had a problem with this a year ago), its a £25 part! If not and you have checked all of the hose clips are tight, it may be head gasket, cylinder heads etc which is much pricier.

Could be a deteriorating rad cap/seal.

Found it. ..Its the radiator its leaking on the bottom passenger side corner.Is this a simple job?
