Chaps. Had the M3 for coming on 3 years now.
It had a new engine from BMW when I bought it. I put in a brands new Vanos.
Has 4 new tyres

I've just pit in:
a new clutch and flywheel
Scorpian exhaust
Dave F

Also managed to get hold of / have lying about ready to fit:
840 Brembos
E46M3 discs
Carbon seats

It looks good, goes well. It does everything I need it to. I don't need anything quicker / louder / dafter as I have the 355 for that. I use it for the occasional longer trip or to run around town in. Most of the time, both cars just sit in the garage under their covers as I take the tube. They can go weeks without even being looked at!

So why then do I keep thinking of selling it and getting something else? I keep getting drawn to an R33 GTR (which I don't need) or an e39 automatic (which is probably more sensible). Or maybe an old Alfa GTV?

Is it just the usual periodic itch?
Am I getting sensible in my old age?

What is wrong with me???

I guess its just the itch thing.
I took it for a spin last night and I've decided I love it again.
:P

Now to fit those brakes...

hehe

I posted on the other forum, but I've got some 10mm spacers if you want to try them.

If you swap to an E39 it has to be a 540i. Them's the rules.

Ah, cheers Dan.
I've actually got some 12mm or 15mm spacers (I forget which) and associated bolts.
HAve lined up the calipers, just waiting for my blasted paypal account to get verified so I can send the money for them. Which is taking about 48 years to accomplish!

I think, being realistic, I'll have to swap it at some point for a family barge, but for now as it's just me and Alex, it's OK. Actually, I just need to convince her to sell her TT when the time comes...
