So I might be going throug the mid life cliche but i have a genuine urge to have a 3200 for weekends. Not a high milage purchase because the "company" makes me drive a modern day bland saloon during the week.
Trouble is that the years of company cars have made me soft so i'm looking for any guidance to stop me making a classic mistake.
There seems plenty of choice in the 11 - 15K £ range
any guidance on obvious stuff to watch out for ?

Suggest you do a search on here, plenty of info already discussed. Red key is a must, as always go on condition and history over mileage. The engines can handle high miles if looked after. Auto's seem to be less trouble than manuals. Theres a few recalls which should have been carried out.
Plenty will tell you to go for 4200 over a 3200, but you need to drive both. They may look similar but are very different cars in attitude, plus the 3200 has the original design touches as itended and hasn't been toned down by Yank legislation.
you only live once.!
