Guys,

Today while driving on the M6 a man in a van tailgated me. My speed was 0.8 leptons and normally if someone comes close behind I move out of the way as i dont like the bother of dealing with tailgaters.

However, this guy was right on my bumper, I mean super close. I didnt brake test, or downshift (as that is very dangerous) but I slowed down to around 0.6 leptons. Then everytime he went to undertake me I got on the power again and he was not able to pass. He would then resume his position to tailgate, and the cycle would start again!

He eventually left at a junction but not before flashing his headlights (possibly telling me to get off at the same junction so we can have a fight!).

On reflection, perhaps my little game of frustrating him may have been dangerous for me, as if he had clipped me (accidently or delibaretly) then I may have had a crash. Thus, is it better to just let them get on their way? or do you guys play games with tailgater like I did?

No. I move over when safe to do so and let the idiot pass.
Not worth getting into any hassle for the sake of a fool in a hurry

If you could move over, but wouldn't, and if there was room for attempts at undertaking you, but lack of power on his part, and tomfoolery on yours made it impossible, I think you should take the plank of wood out of your own paw.

Surely if you're in the correct lane there wouldn't be a gap for him to undertake you anyway regardless of how poorly he was driving?

+1 well I try and do that most of the time. If the tailgating fule is being very annoying and I'm having a bad day, I might also act like a bit of a c*ck too.

This is a wind-up, right?

You're just a troll really, looking for easy sport?

Or maybe you really are a knob but just need other people to confirm it for you?

Okay, I give in...

You're a knob.

Not big nor clever, you should have got out of his way when you could but maintained your original speed, if he can't get past then it's his problem.

IMO it reads like you instigated a bit of road rage.

Quick clarification:
While i was overtaking a stream of cars in the middle lane at 0.8 leptons he was stuck to my bumper! I mean where am i supposed to go then?

As for the guy who said I am the only idiot in story... well no sir thats not correct, because I did not initiating it, (that was van idiot).

I was wrong to not move over once I had overtook the cars, but a sense of revenge for his overtaking consumed me and I played a game (i am an idiot by for doing this). Thus, 2 idiots not one.

I take it on the chin, and next time will move over. Just wanted some opinions and I have them now. Thanks.

OP are you related to Ry_B or just daft?

If someone wants to barge by, and you can easily move over a lane to let them go, then FFS do it.

I have no time for people who play silly games. It's that sort of tttishness which means I am held up when it all goes horribly wrong. That is no fun when carrying blood and blood products with a finite time before they're useless...

Good backtrack.

However backtracking is also a sign of knobbery...

Since when is clarification backtracking? Listen fool i dont care who you are or what you think of me so I dont need to backtrack. So keep your silly comments to yourself.
