Factory Farming Monkeys

I know it's the Daily Mail but this actually seems like a half decent report and if it's true (and it certainly looks it) I am very saddened, I had no idea this was happening.

I know animals are still used for research and I realise some of it is still very beneficial to us but this is no way to treat the very creatures that could save future lives, they deserve so much better. Why do the those that are involved in this think it is? (I mean those higher up the chain buying these monkeys more than those who catch them)
