I have an Orange Ms Isle from 2003(ish) in perfect condition which has been only been ridden twice. It is as factory spec apart from Azonic three-piece crank (I have original unused part which I insisted on swapping) and was factory sprayed in pearl white instead of the standard dark metallic blue. I guess it all would have set me back £1200 at the time had it not been on insurance. And also my brother has a second but completely as factory standard, similarly unused.

But now I/we don’t really have any interest in riding, and it’s pretty unusable just a bike to get from A-B. So it seems sensible to sell them on, if we can get a reasonable price. So, any estimates, and where is the best place to sell a bike of this type?

[I was really into mountain bikes from about the age of 14-18, I used to have a Specialized Rockhopper with loads of bits added – Manitou X-Vert forks, Sun Mammoth rims, 24/7 three piece crank. Anyway just as cars were taking over my interest mine and my brother’s bike were stolen which completely killed it. House insurance was amazing – they added up the price of every component then said how would you like these - two Ms Isles which were far better than the bikes we had before, but it just wasn’t my bike so I never really got into it]

Thanks!

I'd say they are worth around 300-400 depending on spec. www.retrobikes.com is the best place to sell them.

I understand what you are saying when people say only ridden once and stuff, its often hard to believe. Sadly i have the same bike and hand on my heart if its been ridden for more than 20 hours id be amazed. I was driving past a bike shop in 2002/2003,noticed it in the window and went in and purchased it,along with a roof rack and everything else i needed to get it home. The main reason i got it? it was the same colour as my car! yellow lol, never a good reason to buy anything i admit. At the time the money wasnt an issue so the cost didnt bother me,the bike was £1150. Now it hangs on the wall in my bar, where it has for a long time! it gets taking down, cleaned as i tell the wife i will ride it one day,i think we both know thats not going to happen. Im now to old an chubby for that. Tim if your after one, drop me a message if you would like some pics.
