AF447 4th search

It looks like BEA are going to start a fourth search for the missing Airbus.

Its time they have closure on this now, especially for the families involved

I remember reading that they had picked up a signal from the sonar pinger thingy, but in retrospect. I.e. it was too poor to be picked out at the time but was noticed some time later in subsequent re-analysis.
If that was true it will help them to narrow the area quite a bit I guess.

I for one would like to know the full story and I'm sure many of the family's concerned would to.

The more you know about what the causes of an accident are, the more you can do to avoid it in the future. That said I really don't know what kind of serviceable condition any BB or CVR would be in after this length of time in the depths.

Hopefully. reading PPRUNE there are some interesting facts and thoughts about the search. There was a pollution spot that was not searched for some reason and others areas not searched. Hopefully this time the recorders will be found and give up their secrets

Yes you are right, I for one definatly would want to know the outcome so it would never happen again....but, if i was a greiving family member, all i would want is to greive in peace, whats done is done. Each to their own!

I really hope they find the Box; to vanish like this really does send shivers...
