See, this is what happens we let a smiling assassin like livingstone into our lives, what's he and his mates going to take away?, well your liberties for one thing, that is of course if we give the soulless 'ucker another opportunity, make sure you vote in the Mayoral elections, but anything is better than this quasi- Stalinist moron. Ironic that he will lend his weight and authority to lessening police powers when it comes to domestic crime, but wants to festoon our city with his 'control cameras'... C'mon on Ken, admit it, when it comes to car owners/users withy the implied 'freedom of expression and the right to self-determination', it just goes against your core political instincts and notion that those that have them are obviously 'getting too much' out of society and it's time they joined the rest of the non-car owning/using public that fulfil your utopian dream of having to rely on the state and it's apparatus that you and your treacherous mates control.

Whilst cautiously edging out of the T junction alongside my house attempting to see past the morons parked on and beyond the corners I narrowly missed having the front of my car removed by an idiot tearing between the two rows of parked cars at a speed probably nearer to limit x2 than limit.

This is not an unusual occurance chez Gnome nor are the frequent commings together for the unwary or those unfamiliar with the area.

A sensible speed for these narrow pre Victorian lanes, even with sensible parking, would be nearer 10 mph than 20 mph.

Come on Ken you can screw the speedcam to the side of my house if you wish.

Okay I'm talking about a micro neighbourhood rather than a wider area but just as the Mayor's cover all cures may be challenged it is narrow minded and brainless to think that none of his proposals have validity. I am sure that my neighbours and myself are not the only voters, or even PHers, who would welcome some control over no brainers without the imagination to understand that the inappropriate use of speed not only reduces 'local' safety but also gives the champions of blanket restrictions the ammunition to take away our freedom to drive for enjoyment when conditions permit.

Speed Matters not Speed Nutters please.
