I don't know the cerb very well yet as I am yet to buy one (but in the process:-)). Assuming its a hydraulic clutch system then they have blead the clutch and not tightened everthing up properly and you have lost clutch fluid. You need the car recovered back to the garage. Make sure that there is not damage to the seals in the servo or contamination on the clutch.

Having had it apart myself before, its gotta be a seal or a hose. Could it be the cold weather Im thinking? It was done by a specialist so mechanically I dont think I have a problem... Hopefully. frown

Just saw you have had it apart before so you already know this!

It will either be a failure of the internal slave seals, the seal between the slave and bellhousing, the union of the feed line into the bellhousing or the union of the remote bleed line into the bellhousing.

The only one that you can really check from underneath without much dismantling is the feed line union. Its on the drivers side of the bellhousing half way up.

If you have small hands you may be able to check the remote bleed union from above. It is in the centre top of the bellhousing just behind the big fuse.

When you look underneath, if fluid is visible where the bellhousing meets the engine, then its probably the internal seals, if it is visible where the gearbox meets the bellhousing then its likely to be the other one. Unfortunately either is going to be a gearbox off job. frown

all the fluid shot out onto the driveway in a split second! Not a slave leak. Hopefully a pipe may have just exploded. Know more tomorrow :/

Try the pipe unions to the bellhousing. I had one of mine go and it does indeed produce an impressive puddle.

What's the news ?

I'm betting on the Master pipe feed into the bellhousing. Just a tighten up and re-bleed.

Shoot the feckin' garage tho'

Best of ... thumbup

Whne I did my servo seals earlier in the year. I tightened everything up, drove it out for a couple of miles and had the same situation as you. Turned out that the Master had gone when the full pressure had been applied..... relatively simple tho'

The news: Left it with the specialist. If it was summer I'd grubbing about on the driveway.

I may know tomorrow!

And the problem was..........

Nothing.

Garage have put fluid back in it as it ejected it all. Clutch pedal feels great, no leaks no problems. How weird is that?

Anyone else's car ever ejected all its fluid for no reason and then it be fine?

I'll put a fiver on that not being the end of it.

Fluid doesn't just leak out for no reason. They've either fixed in the quiet or the seals are about to fail.

Mine ejected all the fluid twice before it finally died, happens when very hot.

I would keep a check on it over the next few days but more than likely what Mr Cerbera said one of the hydraulic pipes was not tightened up properly and they fixed it on the quiet (as ridds said) rather than admit the error.

This is the same that happened to me, and turned out to be the seals in the slave. I was fed up too as id just spent a shed load on the car.

I took the car off the road for the month ( i took my time doing the job ) and changed the seals myself. Cost me 48 quid for the seals and its been ok ever since

It is very easy to pinch the seals during re-assembly.
Who did the clutch in the first place? was it the 'specialist'?
