F430 - issue? Blip? Trouble ahead? (Oil).

Driving back today (nothing special, observing the 40 limit after a NSL), and suddenly the oil pressure dropped to 0 and the engine oil temp shot into the red (170+). I immediately put the car into neutral, and everything went back to normal, and the rest of the drive home was uneventful (gauges-wise anyway).

I had checked the oil before-hand (nothing wrong), and the cap was on properly.... was it just one of those things?

Sounds like some kind of electrical glitch to me mate.

I had a gearbox problem in the Scud, it totally shat itself and all the lights came up on the dash. Turned it off and back on, and never had the problem since.

I was kind of thinking that - it was probably complaining that it was out in 0 degree weather! Cheers.
